13. Pay full tithe on all types of income

We must know that the full tithe is the first ten percent (10%) of all types of income. Know that some people give the last 10 percent of their income. When you pay the last 10 percent, you have not honored God. You must know that God does not need money, nor does He need material things. What He needs is your obedience and respect. Mal 3:9-12 “9 You are cursed with a curse, For you have robbed Me, Even this whole nation. 10 Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, That there may be food in My house, And try Me now in this," Says the LORD of hosts, "If I will not open for you the windows of heaven And pour out for you such blessing That there will not be room enough to receive it. 11 "And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, So that he will not destroy the fruit of your ground, Nor shall the vine fail to bear fruit for you in the field," Says the LORD of hosts; 12 "And all nations will call you blessed, For you will be a delightful land," Says the LORD of hosts.”

Why do some people not receive the blessings that come from giving tithes?

1. They do not give full tithe - these people give tithe which is less than ten percent of their income.

2. They delay paying tithe - they spend money before paying tithe. They don't know that if you delay paying tithe, you will have to pay a fine. Lev 27:30,31 “30 'And all the tithe of the land, whether of the seed of the land or of the fruit of the tree, is the LORD'S. It is holy to the LORD. 31 'If a man wants at all to redeem any of his tithes, he shall add one-fifth to it.”

3. They pay tithe only on some sources of income - they only pay tithe on money but they do not pay tithe on crops or other income. When one receives 10 khangas, one does not give one piece as a tithe. Instead, she waits until she has received money and then pays tithe. As a result, some areas in her life are not blessed but cursed.

Lazima tujue kwamba zaka kamili ni asilimia kumi (10%) ya kwanza ya mapato ya aina zote. Napenda ujue hili kwa vile kuna watu wanatoa asilimia 10 ya mwisho ya mapato yao. Unapotoa zaka ya mwisho unakuwa hujamheshimu Mungu. Lazima ujue kwamba Mungu hana shida ya pesa wala hana shida ya vitu bali anataka kuona utii wako na heshima yako. Mal 3:9-12 “9 Ninyi mmelaaniwa kwa laana; maana mnaniibia mimi, naam, taifa hili lote. 10 Leteni zaka kamili ghalani, ili kiwemo chakula katika nyumba yangu, mkanijaribu kwa njia hiyo, asema Bwana wa majeshi; mjue kama sitawafungulia madirisha ya mbinguni, na kuwamwagieni baraka, hata isiwepo nafasi ya kutosha, au la. 11 Nami kwa ajili yenu nitamkemea yeye alaye, wala hataharibu mazao ya ardhi yenu; wala mzabibu wenu hautapukutisha matunda yake kabla ya wakati wake katika mashamba, asema Bwana wa majeshi. 12 Na mataifa yote watawaiteni heri; maana mtakuwa nchi ya kupendeza sana, asema Bwana wa majeshi.”

Kwanini baadhi ya watu hawapokei baraka zinazotokana na utoaji wa zaka?

1. Hawatoi zaka kamili – hawa watu wanatoa zaka ambayo haifiki asilimia kumi ya mapato yao.

2. Wanachelewesha utoaji wa zaka – hawa ni watu ambao wanafanya mambo yao ndipo watoe zaka. Hawajui kwamba ukitumia zaka unatakiwa ulipe faini. Law 27:30,31 “30 Tena zaka yote ya nchi, kama ni mbegu ya nchi, au kama ni matunda ya nchi, ni ya Bwana; ni takatifu kwa Bwana. 31 Na kama mtu akitaka kukomboa cho chote cha zaka yake, ataongeza sehemu yake ya tano juu yake.”

3. Wanatoa zaka ya baadhi tu ya njia za kipato – hawa wanatoa zaka ya pesa tu lakini hawatoi zaka ya mazao au mapato mengine. Akipewa vitenge 10 hawezi kutoa kimoja kama zaka. Anasubiri tu apate pesa ndipo atoe zaka. Matokeo yake anakuwa na maeneo katika maisha yake ambayo hayajabarikiwa bali yamelaaniwa.
