Maisha bora Na 29: Salvation is not the end of the journey (Kuokoka sio mwisho wa safari)

'The old has gone, and new has come' means that we have started a new life or a new journey of salvation. In other words, we are leaving Egypt (old nature) for our Canaan (new nature). 2 Cor 5:17 “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.”

You can be saved (born-again Christian) and still not go to Heaven. When you are saved your name is written in the Book of Life but if you sin your name can be erased or blotted out. Being saved today does not make you saved forever. The doctrine of “once saved, always saved”, teaches that a child of God can't be lost even if he or she sins against God. This doctrine, however, is not taught in the Bible. Rev 3:5 “"He who overcomes shall be clothed in white garments, and I will not blot out his name from the Book of Life; but I will confess his name before My Father and before His angels.” This shows that names can also be erased from the Book of Life.

When you say 'I am saved' you mean you are saved in spirit, the soul continues to be saved and the body is not saved at all. The body is being disciplined. 1 Cor 9:27 “But I discipline my body and bring it into subjection, lest, when I have preached to others, I myself should become disqualified.”

It is not surprising to see a born-again Christian stealing. That is why Paul wrote to the church urging them to stop theft. Eph 4:28 “Let him who stole steal no longer, but rather let him labor, working with his hands what is good, that he may have something to give him who has need.”

When you are saved, you must avoid risky situations and then you will be able to overcome sin. You must watch the type of people you relate to, the things you watch, and the things you listen to. 1 Cor 15:33 “Do not be deceived: "Evil company corrupts good habits."”

Yamekuwa mapya.”

Unaweza kushangaa mtu aliyeokoka ameiba.

Unapookoka unatakiwa kuepuka mazingira hatarishi ndipo utaweza kushinda dhambi. 1 Wakorintho 15:33 “Msidanganyike; Mazungumzo mabaya huharibu tabia njema.”
